In May 2023, there are many excellent startup events taking place all around Europe. At SNE, we compile a monthly startup events list, for our community to stay updated on all the European startup events they shouldn’t miss. Whether you are a founder, investor, or a stakeholder of some other capacity in the European startup world, it can be a good idea to keep track of and attend some of these conferences. They provide great opportunities to learn from peers, meet potential business partners, and connect with various parties in the ecosystem.

Where: Brussels, Belgium
Impact Shakers Summit is an event celebrating European entrepreneurship and innovation that are directed towards solving the big problems of our time. The event will take place in Brussels, and will feature panel discussions with impact investors, as well as pitch competitions and showcases that shine a spotlight on impact startups & scaleups. Lastly, there are plenty of opportunity at the Summit for networking & engaging with Europe’s impact ecosystem.
Startup Network Europe organises local startup ecosystem conferences and meetups in cities around Europe. In May 2023, SNE is hosting a series of ecosystem conferences in Denmark & Sweden. The events feature speakers that include Scaleup Founder as well as Investors with a focus in the Nordics region. These events are great opportunities for Nordic startup entrepreneurs to meet peers, investors, and potential business partners. Where: Lausanne, Switzerland
Hack Summit is an exceptional European climate tech event, covering various sub-domains in the sustainability innovation space, including carbon, energy, transport, materials, and food. This year’s Summit will feature fireside chats, panel discussions, pitch competitions, as well as a startup fair.

Where: Maribor, Slovenia / Hybrid
Hosted in Maribor, Slovenia, Podim is one of the most influential startup & tech events in Central and Eastern Europe. Founded in 1980, Podim has long served as a platform for innovators & disruptors as well as established businesses & investors in the region to connect with each other, collaborate, and create new partnerships. In 2023, the Podim event will feature 3 days of Speaker Sessions, Investors & Founders meetups, Pitch Competitions, and more opportunities for various stakeholders in the CEE tech ecosystem to connect with the right audience.

Where: Dusseldorf, Germany
Startup Week Dusseldorf is an umbrella-initiative that includes around 100 startup events within the span of one week at the end of May. The events available are diverse: attendees can find Expert Workshops addressing specific challenges entrepreneurs might face, Networking Sessions for meeting investors & peers, Knowledge-sharing Sessions on trending topics like the Metaverse, Web3, AI, and events in many other formats.
Wolves Summit defines itself as “where venture, talent and innovation converge on a mega-tech festival”. Taking place in Wrocław, Poland, Wolves Summit gathers entrepreneurs, investors, and other ecosystem stakeholders from the CEE Region and beyond. In past editions, Wolves Summit has gathered more than 29,000 attendees, including over 9,000 startups and more than 3,000 investors from over 90 countries. The Summit had also facilitated more than 46,000 meetings.
The 2023 Edition of the Wolves Summit will feature 3 days of speaker sessions, workshops, matchmaking, pitch competitions, and networking parties. The Summit will also feature an expo floor with booths from startups and event partners.

Tech.eu Summit is a full day event hosted by the European tech news & insights platform of the same name. The event features an impressive portfolio of expert speakers, who will be sharing their views on the latest European startup trends in various verticals, including AI, Fintech, Deeptech, Insutech, Edtech, Health and many more. The speakers agenda will also feature VCs and other investors, discussing the latest developments in the European ecosystem from the capital perspective.
When: May 24-26, 2023
Where: Tallinn, Estonia
Latitude59, hosted in Tallinn, Estonia, is an impactful startup event in the Baltic & Nordic region. Estonia is well known for punching above its weight when it comes to producing successful startups and facilitating innovation. This is certainly reflected in the event program of Latitude59. In 2023, the speakers program at the conference will feature more than 150 speakers, including founders, investors, and industry leaders from around the world. The event will also feature the L59 Pitch Competition, where the top 5 finalists startups will compete for an 1 million euros investment.
In 2023, the Latitude59 Conference will attract over 3,000 attendees, which includes 800 startup reps and more than 400 investors.
