In November 2022, Europe’s Startup events agenda is going at full throttle. Ranging from giant conferences like Web Summit with pan-European magnitude, to city-centric meetups aiming to strengthen connections within the local startup ecosystem, there is an event for stakeholders of every level. Whether you are a startup founder, an investor, or act in a more supportive role in the startup space, there is certainly an event taking place this month that’s worth attending for you.

In the list below, we have collected a list of highlighted European startup events taking place in November 2022. Read on to learn more, and discover which events best suit your needs:


1. Web Summit

When: November 1-4, 2022
Where: Lisbon, Portugal

Web Summit is one of Europe’s most notable startup conferences. Even amongst Europe’s many ‘Flagship’ startup events, Web Summit stands out in scale: In 2022, the Summit will attract over 70,000 attendees, over 2,000 startups, and more than 1,000 speakers.

Beyond its magnitude, the event is known for delivering great quality to attendees and stakeholders. Web Summit’s startup programs have meticulous screening and selection processes, aiming at directing each startup into the right track for meeting their best-fit audience. Its speaker roster includes some of the tech sector’s most prominent thinkers,  decision makers and opinion leaders. In 2022, some outstanding Web Summit speakers include Nathan Blecharczyk (Co-founder of AirBnB), Geoff Ralston (President of Y Combinator), Noam Chomsky (Author & Academic thought-leader), and many more.

Started out in Dublin, Ireland, Web Summit is now being held annually in Lisbon, Portugal.


2. Startup Nights

When: 3-4 November, 2022
Where: Winterthur, Switzerland

Startup Nights is the biggest startup event being organised in Switzerland. Taking place in the city of Winterthur, north-east of Zurich, Startup Nights will gather founders, investors, corporates, and other key ecosystem stakeholders from all across Switzerland, as well as from other parts of the world. The 2-day event’s agenda includes keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities.


3. Build Stuff

When: November 9-11, 2022
Where: Vilnius, Lithuania & Online

Build Stuff, dubbed “Europe’s #1 Software Developer Conference”, will take place this November in Vilnius, Lithuania. The event has curated a program that provides great value for the technical audience: whether you are a CTO, Team Lead, or a Software Developer of any seniority level, the conference will serve as an excellent opportunity for learning, knowledge sharing, and networking.

This year, the Build Stuff’s agenda includes keynote speakers, workshops, as well as breakout-sessions and hands-on labs. The activities cover various key topics regarding the future of software technology, such as AI, Cloud & Serverless infrastructure, Programming languages & Platforms, Software Architecture, Tech Leadership, and Cybersecurity.


4. The Stockholm Startup Conference 2022

When: November 14, 2022
Where: Stockholm, Sweden

Hosted by Startup Network Europe & Partners, the Stockholm Startup Conference 2022 is a free-to-attend event that connects hundreds of Swedish Founders and International Investors. Following 2021’s online edition, this year marks the first in-person version of the event. More information will be announced in the coming weeks. 5. MEDICA 2022

When: November 14-17, 2022
Where: Düsseldorf, Germany

MEDICA is Europe’s leading Trade Fair for healthcare and medical technologies. The World’s most promising & state-of-the-art innovations in the medical sector is showcased at MEDICA each year. For European startups active in this space, MEDICA is an event that cannot be missed.

The event has two major components: the Exhibition, and the Forums & Conferences segment. The Exhibition follows the format of the traditional industry trade fair, and includes thousands of exhibitors from more than  50 countries, each presenting their technologies, products, and solutions. Complementing this, the Forums & Conferences segment features inspiring talks and discussions from medical industry leaders & subject matter experts.

For Startups, the event also includes the MEDICA Startup Park program, aiming at helping startups to meet the right decisions makers in the medical industry, and establish connections that can take their innovation to the next stage.


6. The Helsinki Startup Meetup 2022

When: November 16, 2022
Where: Helsinki, Finland

Hosted by Startup Network Europe, the Helsinki Startup Meetup 2022 is an informal and free-to-attend event that connects hundreds of Finnish Founders and Investors.  This event follows the Finland-focused Nordic Startup Conference 2022, which took place in March earlier in the year. 7. European Business Summit

When: November 16-17, 2022
Where: Brussels, Belgium

The European Business Summit is one of Europe’s most prestigious and influential business events. The 2-day forum attracts more than 2,000 high-level participants from Europe and beyond. The event’s program features roundtables and debates on business issues that are essential for Europe’s future.

One of the central themes of EBS is the interfacing between the business community and policy makers & politicians, giving a voice to both sides. In 2022, the EBS features outstanding speakers such as Ursula von der Leyen (President, European Commission), Margrethe Vestager (EVP for A Europe Fit for the Digital Age, European Commission), Diego Pavia (CEO, EIT Innoenergy), James Waterworth (Director, EU Public Policy, Amazon) and many others.


8. Slush

When: November 17-18, 2022
Where: Helsinki, Finland

Slush is an exceptional startup event hosted in Helsinki, Finland. Started out as a small gathering of less than 300 people in 2008, Slush now attracts 4,600 startup founders & operators, 2,600 investors, and a total of more than 12,000 attendees in its 2022 edition.

Slush’s 2022 agenda is organised into 3 stages: The Founder Stage will feature the fundamental moments in the conference, including highlighted keynotes and notable announcements of news that are first shared at Slush. The Serene Stage focuses on more intimate discussions. The Builders’ Studio focuses on knowledge sharing and essential teachings in the startup’s journey from pre-P/M to post-P/M and beyond.

In 2022, matchmaking at Slush is enabled by the conference’s own software. Through the Platform, event-goers can browse through the list of attendees and book meetings with interested parties, making the process highly efficient.


9. Impact Week 2022

When: November 30 – December 2, 2022
Where: Brussels, Belgium

Impact Week is an event organised by EVPA – the Investing for Impact Community. During the course of 3 days, Impact Week will include several sub-events in Brussels, such as the Belgian Impact Day, the C Summit, and the EVPA Annual Conference.

As its name suggests, the Impact Week is an event that emphasizes positive change, and specifically achieving it via actions in the investment & finance domain. Within this framework, the various components of the Impact Week will each feature its own impressive speakers program.

The Belgian Impact Day will focus on Belgian’s role in achieving the SDGs before 2030, via the tools of capital investment. The C Summit will focus on the input of Corporate Social Investors (CSIs). The EVPA Annual Conferences will cover a range of themes including Net-zero Prosperity, The Future of Health, Impact Cities, and more. For startups aiming to create a positive impact in the world, the Impact Week is an opportunity to listen in on some of the latest insights & trends in this space, as well as connect with relevant decision makers and investors.
