After a short summer break, Europe’s major startup events calendar is kicking into gear again!
In the list below, we have collected a number of highlighted European startup events happening in September 2022. 1. Pirate Summit 2022
When: September 6-7, 2022
Where: Cologne, Germany
Pirate Summit started in 2010, and has become a unique startup event focusing on peer learning and the sharing of authentic real-life experiences between entrepreneurs. Taking place in Cologne’s Odonien open air venue, Pirate Summit 2022 is bringing together 1,000+ participants, and will facilitate interactive connections in sessions that take several formats, including keynotes, workshops, and ‘Campfire’ small-scale discussion rounds. Last but not least, the Summit also features the aptly-name ‘Walk the Plank‘ pitching competition, for selected startups to showcase their vision in front of a panel of European VCs.
2. The Milan Startup Conference 2022
When: September 13, 2022
Where: Milan, Italy
The Milan Startup Conference 2022 is organized by Startup Network Europe. The Conference will be an intimate networking event focusing on Milan’s local ecosystem, and will bring together hundreds of Milan Founders and International Investors into Milan’s Impact Hub co-working space. 3. TechBBQ 2022
When: September 14-15, 2022
Where: Copenhagen, Denmark & Online
TechBBQ started in 2013 as a small BBQ gathering between entrepreneurs. Now, ten years later, it has become the largest startup & innovation summit in Denmark, attracting a large number of international attendees each year.
In 2022. TechBBQ is organized at Copenhagen’s Lokomotivværkstedet. The event’s stage program will feature 200+ prominent speakers. Bringing together 1600+ startups , 650+ corporates and 300+ investors, the event will present many opportunities for networking. And yes, there will be BBQ too.
For those who cannot attend in person, TechBBQ 2022 will also feature an online networking component mediated through the event app.
4. MedFIT 2022
When: September 20-21 (In-person), September 28 (Online)
Where: Grenoble, France & Online
MedFIT is an essential event in Europe’s Medtech, Diagnostic & Digital Health space, with an emphasis on facilitating partnership between stakeholders.
The event’s 2021 edition featured 1,000+ attendees, with a diverse distribution between startups & SMEs, Suppliers, Corporates, TTOs & Research Institutes & Academics, Investors, and more. In 2022, MedFIT will include a Conference program with 50+ international speakers, an exhibition space, startup pitches, and facilitated opportunities for attendees to schedule one-on-one meetings with each other.
5. Bits & Pretzels: Founders Festival 2022
When: September 25-27, 2022
Where: Munich, Germany
The Bits & Pretzels Founders Festival is one of Germany’s flagship startup conferences. In 2014, the event started as a small breakfast gathering between founders. Since then, it has evolved into a large conference attracting over 5,000 attendees per year.
In the 2022 edition, the main event will take place on September 25 and 26. Attendees can participate in the speakers program which includes 9 different stages, each with a distinct focus area. Some stages will feature international business leaders & experts, while others will highlight up-and-coming startups.
Then, on September 27, attendees gather at the Munich Oktoberfest for an unique networking format: Each attendee can choose to join one of the 200 tables, each hosted by a Table Captain – a startup ecosystem expert selected by the event. The Table Captain can be a founder, CXO, investor, or other decision-makers. After one session of discussions, Captains stay at their table, while attendees switch tables for a 2nd round of networking, with a new group altogether.
6. Oslo Innovation Week 2022
When: September 26-29, 2022
Where: Oslo, Norway
Oslo Innovation Week 2022 features a week-long umbrella program that includes 60 events, all taking place in Oslo, Norway. It is hosted by both Norwegian and International incubators, investors, and startup ecosystem builders. Every year, the Innovation Week attracts around 10,000 people, with 30% of them being international attendees. In 2022, the week’s theme will be Scaling for Global Success.
The events taking place during Oslo Innovation Week 2022 will include seminars, panel discussions, networking meetups, and startup pitching rounds.
7. TechChill Milano 2022
When: September 27-29, 2022
Where: Milan, Italy
TechChill was founded 10 years ago as a startup event & non-profit organisation based in Riga, Latvia. Since then, it has grown to become a highly notable event series in Europe. This year, startup ecosystem builders in Italy is collaborating with the TechChill Foundation to bring the international conference to Italy: the resulting event is TechChill Milano 2022.
TechChill Milano will take place at Bocconi University Campus, and will attract 2300+ attendees, 300+startups, as well as 200+ investors. The conference program will include startup pitch battles, more than 80 speakers, and many opportunities to network. For investors, TechChill Milano will also feature an Investor Day, where VCs, CVCs, accelerators, business angels and other investors from all over Europe can connect with their peers.
8. The Dutch Startup Conference 2022
When: September 29, 2022
Where: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The Dutch Startup Conference 2022 is an event for Dutch Startup Founders, VCs, Executives, and Seed Fund Partners. It is hosted by Dutch Startup Association and Startup Network Europe. In 2022, the annual event enters its 2nd edition. It follows our 2021 Conference, which was online and gathered 1,050 attendees.
