Pitch at the Beach is a startup event series organized at various seaside locations around the world . As its name suggests, the event takes entrepreneurs, investors, and other ecosystem leaders out of their regular office environment, and situate them in a relaxing beach setting where they can focus on networking and building new connections.
In 2022, the event’s Portugal edition will take place by Oeiras, a seaside region 20 minutes outside of Lisbon. The 3-day event program includes international speakers, panels, workshops, and of course pitching sessions from startups. Merchant Payment Ecosystem (MPE) is Europe’s top merchant payments industry conference. The 2022 edition will be the event’s first in-person iteration since 2019, and will feature more than 120 speakers as well as attract over 1200+ attendees. MPE brings together an audience with a strong industry focus, all the while including diverse stakeholders within the payments space, such as payment service providers, merchants, industry experts, regulators, and solutions providers.
Those following the latest developments in Europe’s fintech startup scene would know that the payments space is an area with incredible potential for innovative startups to emerge.
